VMtoday.com is managed by Joshua Townsend. Josh is an IT professional with 8 years of experience as a technology practitioner, consultant, and IT manager. Josh specializes in Microsoft and VMware solutions and is currently employed by Tiber Creek Consulting, a VMware Solution Provider Partner. Josh wear’s several hats at Tiber Creek, including management of the company IT systems, technical consulting to the firm’s commercial, government, and DoD customers, and leading Tiber Creek’s virtualization sales and service efforts. Prior to joining Tiber Creek, Josh served as Principal Consultant at IronBrick, where he advised customers on virtualizing Microsoft solutions on VMware, running on NetApp storage. Josh also includes several years as Global IT Manager for Approva Corporation on his resume, where he provided hands-on management and engineering for all internal IT operations. Josh has also worked for NetCentrics Corporation and has provided technology consulting services to many firms in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro area.

Josh was honored with VMware’s vExpert 2010 award for his contributions to the virtualization community.
Josh holds several Microsoft certifications including MCP, MCSA, & MCSE + Security. Josh is also a VMware Sales Professional (VSP), VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP) on Virtual Infrastructure 3.5 and vSphere 4 (VCP4), and is currently pursuing several other Microsoft, EMC, NetApp, Cisco, ITIL, and PMP certifications (if ever I get a free moment to study!).
Josh is based in the Washington, DC metro area where he lives with his beautiful wife and two awesome sons.
